Treatment Approach

Treatment is holistic in nature and based on Neurodevelopmental Therapy (NDT). This is a problem-solving approach where the child is addressed as a whole and intervention is individualized to meet specific goals. We use developmentally appropriate therapeutic activities to encourage active participation and to enhance mobility, play and sensory potential of the child.

How do we work?

We encourage the involvement of family members and care givers during treatment sessions. Education for home practice is provided to ensure good follow through with therapy. We interact closely with paediatricians, other referral sources and community resources to enhance the continuity of therapy for our children.

We are knowledgeable in the use of Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES). Rigid kinetic taping is another useful tool often utilized during therapy.
